Hi, my name is Andrea and I am the founder of Lace+Lamb.

 

My love affair with fashion began a long time ago, when I was a young girl. I remember hours spent admiring the designer clothes draped over elegant mannequins in boutique shop windows. Although at the time I didn’t have the means to afford these coveted items, I realised I could use my own talent to recreate them.

 

My sowing machine and I soon became besties and, somewhere between the needle and thread and fabric and patterns and pincushions, a dream began to form: a dream to one day create my own clothing label.

 

When I left school I took time off to travel the world. I returned to study at Stellenbosch University after which I cut my teeth at some of the country’s largest fashion retailers; gaining exposure locally and abroad, and working in buying, manufacturing and marketing roles.

 

Finally, on 1st December 2017 I felt it was time to turn my dream into a reality and Lace+Lamb was born. The brand is the embodiment of the deep appreciation I have for quality and timeless style. The idea of making a little girl feel like a princess when she puts on one of my pieces is just the most exciting thing for me.

 

Over a year before Lace+Lamb officially opened, another little miracle came into my life. Having my baby boy, Mason, on 09.09.2016 was quite simply the best thing that has ever happened to me. Apart from the everyday joy he brings me, Mason is the one who gave me the courage to finally start my own business. I hope to make him proud of what I create, how I treat people and work with them and, most of all, how I am true to myself and follow my dreams.
